The Staff Selection Commission (North Western region) Chandigarh launched its new website here today. The website was inaugurated by its Regional Head, Deputy Regional Director Shri Naveen Sehgal at a function held in the Commission premises in Kendriya Sadan. The function was attended by the staff of the Commission and other senior officials.The new website provides the candidates round-the-clock access to the information given out by SSC. Among other things the website contains, the Commission’s examination and Interview schedule, results of various examinations, nomination status of the candidates besides providing important linkage to various important government sites. Aspirants can login to www.sscnwr.org to get the desired information.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sehgal was of the opinion this new website would be of a great help especially to the candidates of far flung and remote areas as it would address their problems of non availability of application forms and issue of duplicate admission certificates. He stated that this website would help the candidates to plan, prepare and perform well in this highly competitive scenario. He called upon all the aspirants to utilize this medium to the fullest extent.
Shri Sehgal, further revealed that IT based applications are being inducted into various SSC systems whereby generation of results and nomination of candidates to various Central Government Departments would become much faster. He pointed out that with the induction of such systems, apart from achieving professional excellence, the goal of transparent administration would also be achieved.
While interacting with media persons on the occasion, Sh Sehgal lauded the role of media in helping and supporting the Commission in its endeavour of conducting the exams in a fair, smooth, timely and transparent manner.
Shri Sehgal also requested the correspondents to cross check the facts before sending them for printing as wrong reporting not only damages the image of people working so hard, but also damages the credibility of the organization. He pointed out that Commission deals with thousands of applications in each exam. Though every possible effort is made to come out with error free data but at times few minor errors do come to light which are rectified immediately, he added.
